Save SHSH Blobs of iOS 4.1 Now, Apple About to Patch Limera1n Untethered Hack [Warning]

Hurry up, backup your SHSH blobs of iOS 4.1 for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, as Apple has just announced that it already has the fix of the daylight savings bug in its alarm clock application for iPhones that causes recurring alarms to go off an hour early, the fix will be available in the upcoming software update.
Apple: We're aware of this issue and already developed a fix which will be available to customers in an upcoming software update.
It makes sense that Apple will fix Comex's untethered hack. What that mean limera1n will be tethered jailbreak.  Remember JailbreakMe, it has been released 1st August, after 10 days Apple released iOS 4.0.2 and 3.2.2 to fix the JailbreakMe PDF exploit, it was exactly on 11th August. So if we apply the same scenario, we will expect that Apple will roll out its new firmware may be iOS 4.1.1 and 3.2.3 on next Thursday 19th October.

So we highly recommend to save your SHSH blobs of iOS 4.1 for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, as soon as possible, you can follow our guide posted here. Feel free to discuss any problems in our comments section. [via ZDnet]

UPDATE 1: Dev-team  has just sent new blog post update to remind you to save SHSH hashed for iOS 4.1 before the official release of iOS 4.1.1 from Apple to keep your limera1n jailbreak untethered.
Because the “untethered” part of this jailbreak comes from a userland hack from @comex, you should still backup your SHSH hashes for 4.1. Do this by either letting Cydia keep them (“make my life easier”), or using Tiny Umbrella. This way you can always come back to an untethered, jailbreakable 4.1 on your devices after Apple has closed their 4.1 signing window (they’ll close the 4.1 window once they push out their next firmware version). If you fail to do this and ever need to restore to 4.1 again, you can still jailbreak but it will be a tethered JB (you’ll need to connect to your computer to finish the booting process, each and every time).

And remember: you can backup your 4.1 SHSH hashes without even being at 4.1 or even being jailbroken, by using Tiny Umbrella.

Jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G will Arrive After iOS 4.2 Official Release

We are waiting for the Greenpois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 which will be release by October 10 10:10 am GMT, you know as well that unfortunately, Greenpois0n will be able to jailbreak iPhone 4 and iPod touch on iOS 4.1, iPad on iOS 3.2.2 and may be Apple TV 2G ONLY. More precisely, Greenpois0n will not jailbreak iPhone 3GS nor iPod touch 3G on iOS 4.1, this limitation was due to the unavailability to use the SHAtter exploit with older devices.

But do not lose hopes, we reported you few hours ago that Comex the guy behind Spirit and JailbreakMe has userland exploit which will jailbreak iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G. Now the question is When we catch it?, Musclenerd has replied this question confirming that it wouldn't be before official iOS 4.2 is out. I think it makes sense that we see the new Comex userland jailbreak after iOS 4.2 official release, Why? Because the userland exploit can be easliy patched by Apple.
Those reading between the lines: Yes SHAtter itself is tethered. @comex came up with a way to untether it on 4.1/3.2.2
Another point to clarify, that Apple may convert the Greenpois0m jailbreak from untethered jailbreak to tethered jailbreak if it was able to patch the userland based method which discovered by Comex. So that the new Comex userland jailbreak tool will be for iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G mainly, and to re-untethered Greenpois0n jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and iPad.
Some one asking Musclenerd:
Is there ETA for comex's jailbreak for 3GS?
Musclenerd replied:
something like that wouldn't be before official 4.2 is out (at the very least)
For who asking about iOS 4.2, it will be released by November. We will wait impatiently for it. [via RedmondPie]

Now I have to remind all our readers that Greenpois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4G, iPod touch 4G and iPad will be released next Sunday October 10, Stay tuned for the full coverage.
