Official PlayStation App for iPhone Available for Download

The official PlayStation app for iPhone has just been released for iOS devices. The app doesn't let you play games but it allows the PlayStation faithful to log in with their PSN ID and connect to their Trophy haul, friends list and gaming news via the PlayStation Blog.

Geohot Releases PS3 Root Keys ! PS 3 is Now Pwned for Life !

Couple of days back, we informed you about a small group of German hackers calledfail0verflow who found an exploit dubbed as the PlayStation 3’s “private key”, which is used by Sony itself to restrict the access to unsigned code and block pirated software.

Now, this prodigy hacker Geohot has released PS 3 Root Keys publicly on his own site beside thanking the fail0verflow team. He also encouraged them to contact him if they want their “next console to be secure”. Jailbreak PlayStation 3 / PS3 with iPhnoe 3G/ 2G and iPod Touch 1G using PSFreedom

Yesterday we reported you about jailbreak PlayStation 3 (PS3) using TI-84 Plus calculator, but the big news today is for iPhone 3G/2G and iPod Touch 1G devices, PSFreedom the tool for jailbreaking PS3 has been ported on their devices.

A small testing version has been uploaded (see the README for details). This will as always only work on the iPhone 2G/3G and iPod touch 1G and needs OpeniBoot installed.

Jailbreak PlayStation 3 (PS3) with a TI-84 Plus Calculator [Video]

We already showed you on an earlier post how to jailbreak PS3 with Android Phone using PSFreedom, and another one to jailbreak PS3 using PS Jailbreak but it is strange to see a procedure to jailbreak PlayStation 3 (PS3) using a TI-84 Plus calculator.

The calculator connects via a USB A to USB mini-B cable which comes with the calculator and is also used to charge the PS3 controllers. Once the connection is made, launch the software on the calculator, power cycle the PS3, and turn it on with the familiar power-eject button presses.

The only problem with the system is that the calculator needs to be connected every time you boot. [via hackaday]
