You Can Install Apps on New Apple TV But You Can't Launch Them

As noticed by Gizmodo, iPhone developer Steven Troughton-Smith has discovered that the new Apple TV which was launched a month ago, allows app installation after modification of the apps required to identify them as compatible with Apple TV. Unfortunately, you can't launch them, you will need a launcher for that.
So hackers and jailbreakers must find out a way to launch them, but after the launch of Google TV's site today, Apple will do soon because they don't have any other choices but to put apps in their TV. For your information, SHAtter exploit already works on Apple TV and could jailbreak it, but still no apps! As usual we will keep you informed about any updates for this one!

Will the New SHAtter Jailbreak Block Installous? Nope

In case you are living under the water and don't know that Chornic Dev Team was thinking to block installous app in the upcoming jailbreak. In other words, they plan to fight piracy. We received a lot of questions today “Will really Chornic Dev Team block installous app?” “Won't we be able to use installous anymore?”. Here's the fact about what I think and what will happen!

To be clear infront of you, NO ONE can block installous. You may wonder that Jay Freeman or MuscleNerd can edit Cydia to remove installous pacakge -- Ok, they can do that but the developer of installous would just rename the site or package. The question is why they would block installous?

Well, may be because it is considered illegal software and steal developer's money. The developer behind installous didn't develop it for full-blown piracy but for trialling the software only! Of course everyone uses the app for full-blown piracy and that's not fair.

At the end, I will not say much. I just hope people to give up from full-blown piracy. If you want to use installous, just use it to try the app not to own the app! I hope you share your ideas and view below in the comment section.

Twitter CEO Ev Williams is Stepping Down to Focus On Product

Twitter is replacing CEO (Chief executive officer) and Co-Founder Ev Williams with COO (Chief operating officer) Dick Costolo, so that Williams “be completely focused on product strategy.”. We all were shocked when we saw the blog post by Williams talking about #NewTwitterCEO. Here's the blog post.
The challenges of growing an organization so quickly are numerous. Growing big is not success, in itself. Success to us means meeting our potential as a profitable company that can retain its culture and user focus while having a positive impact on the world. This is no small task. I frequently reflect on the type of focus that is required from everyone at Twitter to get us there.

This led to a realization as we launched the new Twitter. I am most satisfied while pushing product direction. Building things is my passion, and I’ve never been more excited or optimistic about what we have to build.

This is why I have decided to ask our COO, Dick Costolo, to become Twitter’s CEO. Starting today, I’ll be completely focused on product strategy.
Twitter was growing in the last two years since Williams was the CEO, he mentioned that when he started there were only 20 employees working at Twitter, today there are 300 employees. Also people were tweeting about 1.25 million tweets a day, now, about 90 million a day. Even in those same two years, Twitter grew from 3 million registered users to more than 160 million today. So, Ev Williams was really a great CEO.
